Jeff Crank Rep from Colorado Springs is sorely misleading in his communications
A point by point retort of his boiler plate responses and newsletter.
I grew up believing in the ideals of the original pledge of alegience
"I pledge allegiance to my Flag and to the Republic for which it stands one Nation indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all." or as most Americans before 1954 knew it as “I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one Nation indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.“
Today, we are losing all of what democracy means and how it is to work for all not just the anointed few. We have representatives in our Congress that don’t believe in a country of the people, for the people, and by the people. Instead they wish to align themselves with a oligarch soon to be dictator if we don’t do something now.
My local representative is Jeff Crank and he is failing to follow his oath of office to:
To that end I am going to share what he sends me and my thoughts regarding his failures of his oath.
Letter Response to my concerns about the lack of Due Process of Law. (28 Apr 25)
“I strongly believe that those who want to come to our incredible country must go through the proper legal process. I also strongly believe that everyone must follow the law and that those who break the law must be held accountable by our judicial system.“
While he seems to support the idea of due process, by mentioning the “judicial system,” he clearly ignores the reality of those who have been swept up and arrested while following the law and doing the “right things” to remain in the country. Instead all persons not of this country that speak languages like Spanish or are simply not white are somehow not afforded due process of law. AND they are allowed to be defamed without proof in a court of law.
“The Alien Enemies Act gives the President the authority to create policy to address nationals of a hostile nation or organization who are invading the United States. Recently, the President issued an Executive Order declaring a national emergency at the southern border of the United States. By citing the Alien Enemies Act, the President can deport individuals that are a threat to national security, such as members of the violent Venezuelan gang, Tren de Aragua (TdA).
I recently introduced H.Res. 295 to express support for the President in combatting terrorism and to state that it is the opinion of the House of Representatives that the President’s actions to safeguard national security and eliminate threats from Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO) are necessary and correct. Coloradoans already know the truth: TdA is a terrorist organization active in our communities right now. I fully support President Trump’s executive order to designate them as a FTO and to begin deporting these horrific terrorists. It is essential to our national security that known terrorists are quickly detained and deported out of our country by our law enforcement professionals.
I am proud to introduce H.Res. 295, which is awaiting further action in the House Judiciary Committee. Please know that I will keep your views in mind as I continue to work on this issue in Congress.“
Despite the spelling errors of “combatting” (combating) and “Coloradoans” (Coloradans), the fourth, fifth, and sixth Amendments of the United States Constitution state that every person has a right to due process, protection from illegal searches and seizures and access to due process of law. The Alien Enemy Act specifically stipulates within a declared war or incursion.
Just because gang members exist doesn’t mean that we are at war. This word started its manipulation in the 1960s with Johnson’s “War on Poverty” and further expanded by Nancy Reagan with the “War on Drugs” people today have declared thought wars on everything. None of these rise to the level of a declared war and any person who studies wars and incursions can tell you violence in the country, organized or otherwise, is not what this is.
When Jeff Crank states “It is essential to our national security that known terrorists are quickly detained and deported out of our country by our law enforcement professionals.”, he provides no clear evidence that those who were in his term “deported” received Due Process of law and shown to be guilty of the offenses they are accused.
What we we do know that clearly not guilty persons were swept up and sent to CECOT (while the 34 count felon remains free). In response, the FOTUS has openly defied the courts at all levels. This is not democracy. If the government had proof, they could have used the due process to deport people not abduct and send them to death camps.

“Last week, I was back in the district for a busy work week. Let me catch you up!
I kicked off the week by meeting with local business leaders to learn about the issues most important to them. I’ll continue to be a strong voice for policies in Washington, DC that enable entrepreneurs and small businesses to prosper.“
This guy is still afraid to have a real Town Hall and answer for his actions. He is afraid of those he is supposed to represent. We have a right to petition our government (and representatives) for redress of grievances.
He is a coward and won’t stand up and take the feedback that his constituents have for him. He curates where he will show up in person. He won’t take questions from people with whom he disagrees and instead of meeting them with ideas and options he choose to attack the person or question their patriotism.
“On Wednesday, I met with defense community leaders, bringing a combined 700+ years of experience in defense, military, space, cyber security and community building expertise to ensure that Colorado's Fifth Congressional District is the epicenter of space and military power for generations to come.“
This town is not just a military town. We have an expansive community that is more than defense. This guy refuses to state who and what they discussed.
“Thursday I had the opportunity to speak at the McConkie Leadership Conference where I shared my perspective on leadership and the experiences in my own life that have shaped me into the person I am today.”
I did some hunting on this conference and found that the 2025 speakers and content demonstrates a shift from helping leaders work ethically within the public safety space to be better leaders, to more of a strict and top down leadership that focuses on “public safety” through denying the rights of the accused.
“The Biden Administration policies abused the Clean Air Act to impose impossible regulations. We cannot continue to allow ridiculous mandates to drive up costs for families and businesses. Yesterday, we voted to end the EV mandate nonsense. Read more here.“
He doesn’t go into what he feels were impossible regulations. Furthermore, he doesn’t even make room for how we CAN make things work and get to an equitable future for all.
I surmise that anything that costs the poluters money is an impossible regulation. It also harkens to those who objected to the Clear Air act in the first place. The only way we can bring down the costs of some things that are better for the environment and, by extension, our health is to set lofty goals that put pressure on the manufacturers that have made money on the backs of the workers for decades.
“This week, the House Armed Services Committee passed the bipartisan $150 billion bill to invest in our national defense. This is a historic bill and a generational investment to implement President [FOTUS]’s visionary Peace through Strength Agenda. Investing $150 billion to modernize our military and secure our border will support our economy and strengthen our national security. Read more here.“
If he truly believed in the strenght and mission of our national defense he wouldn’t be supporting Kegseth and the lack of security he and is team are utilizing to manage secure data. Nor would he be supportive of the new segregation of the military by the BS attitude that some how a diverse, equal, and inclusive military is somehow bad. The FOTUS has failed the country on all levels and makes us less safe every day. Secure borders are best secured through quality relationships with our border countries and working together. Isolationism is not strength.
“"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."– 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Yesterday was National Day of Prayer. Remember, there is power in prayer!“
This has NO BUSINESS in a letter to constituents. At best, Christians make up 33% of the Colorado Springs population. While there are big churches and Focus here their influence is not as big as he seems to think it is. I know of many who are of Christian faiths that do not wish people to receive cruelty and support the rule of law. Not to mention that his use of his government communications to preach is wholly unethical. If he is to represent all his constituents, he needs to not alienate 66% of the city. If he wanted to celebrate the day of prayer he could have done so by being more open to all beliefs not just his own.
Jeff Crank clearly supports the dismanteling of United States and should not be representing the people of Colorado Springs.
I will keep exposing his BS for what is is.. excriment.
